To make verification as easy as possible we’ve included secure links for the basic information needed to verify your identity. Please upload the two verification photos by clicking on the link below. Don't worry, it doesn't take more than about two minutes to complete.

  • All of our cars have to be insured with liability, collision and comprehensive coverage.

    If you DO have a personal auto policy but it DOES NOT have collision or comprehensive coverage you will need to purchase Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) at RENTALCOVER.COM.

    If you DO NOT have a personal automobile policy, you will need to purchase both Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) at RENTALCOVER.COM and Renter’s Contingent Liability Insurance (RCLI) at bonzah.com.

  • Please follow these simple rules to help insure a safe trip:

    RULES OF THE ROAD

    NO Drugs or Alcohol allowed

    NO Smoking allowed

    Renters that violate the no smoking policy will be subject to a USD $250.00 fine.

    NO Pets allowed

    If the vehicle is found to be unreasonably dirty upon return, the Renter will be subject to a cleaning fee of USD 250.00. For more info see CLEANING in Terms & Conditions.

    100 MILES INCLUDED PER DAY

    For additional miles driven, you’ll be charged USD .50 per mile.

    REFUEL THE VEHICLE

    Please return the vehicle with the same fuel level you started with. You’ll be charged retroactively for any missing fuel, plus a USD 25.00 convenience fee.

    RETURN ON TIME

    Return the car on time, and, if you’re running late, extend your trip! For more info see OVERSTAY in Terms & Conditions.

    TERMS AND CONDITIONS

    AGE

    All Renters and authorized additional drivers must be a minimum of 21 years of age. A $25/day surcharge will be applied for those under 25 years of age.

    AIRPORT PICKUP

    PHOENIX SKY HARBOR INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (PHX) - PICKUP INSTRUCTIONS

    If you are flying into Sky Harbor Airport, our garage offers complimentary shuttle service which will pick you up curbside just outside of baggage claim. Shuttles run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you are picking up local, we’ll provide you detailed instructions once you have completed the pre-trip authorization.

    BUSINESS HOURS

    PHX Rental Cars is not a 24 hour operation.

    Pick up /drop off is available during normal hours of operation 8:30 AM-8:30 PM (Arizona) Time, 7 days a week.

    We do offer After Hours Pick-up / Drop-off Option for a fee which will be applied to your contract at the time the vehicle is picked up and your contract is closed out. After Hours Pick-up / Drop-off Option is only available provided you have submitted all documentation needed during the pre-trip process 24 hours in advance of Pick-up and it has been reviewed by staff during normal hours of operation.

    CANCELLATION

    We ask that you give us a 36 hour notice for any cancellation.

    If you are unable to cancel your reservation within this 36 hour window you will be charged one full day (rate + tax only) and the charges will be made to the card provided to us at the time of your booking.

    CHILD SAFETY SEATS

    Seats are available at this location with a minimum of 48-hour advance booking. The cost of the Child Safety Seat is $5.00 per day. Since availability at times is limited, please reserve child seats in advance.

    CLEANING

    A cleaning fee of up to $250 may be charged for returned vehicles which have been stained, soiled, or found with significant amounts of filth/dirt/mud/animal hair or other substances.

    COLLISION DAMGAGE WAIVER (CDW)

    We DO NOT OFFER Collision Damage Waiver however it can be purchased through RENTALCOVER.COM.

    The renter is liable for all damage to the Rented vehicle regardless of fault. The renter is also liable for loss of use of the vehicle (revenue lost while the car is being repaired) as well as Diminished Value (difference between your car's pre-accident value and its value after the repairs from the car insurance company).

    You must have rental car coverage through your personal insurance with liability, collision, and comprehensive coverage or purchase third-party CDW or RLI. Please upload proof of insurance or third party protection by scrolling to the bottom to “Take Trip Photos” or email to contact@phxrentalcars.com.

    DEBIT CARDS

    Credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners and Discover are accepted. Cards must be in renter`s own name. Personal checks, prepaid cards, and cash are not allowed as a form of payment. Prepaid, recharge or virtual debit/credit cards, Apple Pay/Samsung Pay or any card on which the relevant characters are not raised (embossed) - are not accepted as a form of payment.

    DEPOSIT RULES

    A minimum $250 credit card authorization is required at the beginning of your rental. A maximum credit card authorization amount equal to 3 times the rental amount may be required depending on the type of vehicle class you choose. Credit card authorizations are valid for 30 days.

    DRIVERS LICENSE

    All drivers must have a valid US driver`s license and be at least 21 to drive the Vehicle. A young driver surcharge of $25/day will be applied to your contract at the time the vehicle is picked up and your contract is closed out for all drivers 26 years of age or younger.

    Pre-trip authorization requires a photo of Renter and all authorized additional drivers be uploaded or emailed to contact@PHXRentalCars.com (this is mandatory).

    PHX Rental Cars will not rent to a holder of a license that restricts them to daytime driving only or to business driving only. A learners permit is not accepted. Expired licenses will not be accepted.

    EARLY RETURN

    There are no refunds for early return.

    FUEL

    Please return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel as you received it with at the time of Pick-up. Otherwise, a fuel charge will be applied at the end of the reservation.

    GEOGRAPHIC

    Rental vehicle may be driven throughout the state of Arizona. Out of state travel is subject to a $500 fee without written preauthorization.

    Vehicles are never permitted into Mexico or Canada.

    INSURANCE

    The Renter is liable for all damage to the rented Vehicle regardless of fault. The renter is also liable for loss of use of the vehicle (revenue lost while the car is being repaired) as well as Diminished Value (difference between your car's pre-accident value and its value after the repairs from the car insurance company).

    All renters must provide written proof of personal auto insurance with liability, collision, and comprehensive coverage or provide reciept confirmation of third-party CDW and RCLI protection.

    Pre-trip authorization requires a photo of current Personal Insurance Card of Renter and all authorized additional drivers be emailed to contact@PHXRentalCars.com.

    LOCAL RENTERS

    A utility bill may be requested for Renters with a AZ Drivers License. This can be emailed to contact@PHXRentalCars.com or added as “Other Trip Photos “as part of the pre-trip authorization process.

    NO BRAND GUARANTEES

    PHX Rental Cars does not guarantee specific brands or colors of vehicles at any time. If the vehicle that you reserved is not available, an alternate vehicle may be assigned at management discretion.

    ONE-WAY

    PHX Rental Cars does not permit one-way trips.

    OVERSTAY

    Extensions Requests must be submitted prior to the end of your trip and must be done via email contact@PHXRentalCars.com.

    Extensions are not guaranteed and require approval and a revised rental agreement. Extension rates will be provided to you at the time of request and are subject to change.

    Vehicles not returned prior to their scheduled return times are subject to Late Drop-off Fee.

    REPOSSESSION

    PHX Rental Cars may repossess any Vehicle rented without demand, at the renters expense, if the Vehicle is not returned by the end of the reservation, is found illegally parked or apparently abandoned, or is used in violation of applicable law or these policies.

    TRACKING DEVICES

    Your vehicle may be equipped with a GPS or diagnostic tracking devices to track or locate cars as necessary, cars condition, performance and operation, track fuel consumption, distance travelled, location and other information which transmits information to PHX Rental Cars, our third party providers and/or the car manufacturer. Evidence of tampering with GPS or damage will result in a $250 fee.

    TRAVELING OUTSIDE COUNTRY

    PHX Rental Cars does not permit travel outside of the USA.

    BY UPLOADING YOUR VERIFICATION PHOTOS YOU ARE ACKOWLEDGING THAT YOU HAVE READ AND ACCEPT THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

HOW-TO

  • Our cars are located inside:

    PreFlight Airport Parking

    ROW: 1 WEST G (By the West Lobby and Orange Cones)

    If coming from (PHX) Skyharbor International Airport we have FREE Shuttle Service that runs every 5 mins from Baggage Claim.

    NOTE: We are NOT located on site at the Phoenix Airport Rental Car Center.

    The pickup instructions are a little different depending on which Terminal you arrive into. To find out what Terminal your Airline operates flights out of CLICK HERE.

    From Terminal # 3 Baggage Claim:

    Exit Door 11 at the end of Baggage Claim,

    Use pedestrian cross path to go across to the outer curb,

    Head to your right until you get to “Courtesy - 11” sign,

    Get on RED PreFlight Airport Parking Shuttle that runs every 5 mins to the car.

    From Terminal #4 Baggage Claim:

    Exit Door 7 on Northside,

    Use pedestrian cross path to go across to the outer curb,

    Head to your right until you get to “Courtesy Vehicles - 7” sign,

    Get on RED PreFlight Airport Parking Shuttle that runs every 5 mins to the car.

    For pick-up after hours (11PM - 8AM) please text "Party of # at terminal # (3 or 4)" or call 480-925-9630 (text is faster).

    STEP 2 (below): How-To Find the Car

  • All of our vehicles are located on row:

    1 WEST G next the West Lobby (look for the orange cones).

    To identify your vehicle, first OPEN your Rental Agreement. A link will have been emailed to the address that you provided at the time of booking. The Rental Agreement email will have been sent after the Pre-Trip Authorization is complete.

    Once the link has been opened, look in the top right corner of the Rental Agreement to find the Make, Model, Color, and License Plate No. of your Car to identify your the vehicle for your trip

    Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the page under Visual Aids for pictures of the West Lobby, Row 1 WEST G Pillar and Rental Agreement.

    STEP 3 (below): How-To E-Sign the Agreement

  • Before getting your keys, you must first E-Sign your Rental Agreement. on your phone.

    If you haven’t already, please OPEN your Rental Agreement that was emailed to the address that you provided at the time of booking.

    Once it is open you will need to Sign or Initial the Agreement in five spots.

    For each spot, click the Red “SIGN” link. This will open a signature box for you to sign with your finger. Then hit the Orange & White “SAVE” button after signing/initialing all five spots.

    PRO TIP: If you don’t see the signature box open, try turning your phone horizontally

    Finally, Click the Orange & White “SUBMIT” button in the top right corner.

    Once complete, please TEXT the word “DONE” to 407-716-4778 so we can get you the info to open the doors.

    STEP 4 (below): How-To Get the Keys

  • Once your Rental Agreement is completed you will have access to the vehicle.

    Depending on the vehicle, the key fob and card to get in and out of the garage will be in the carbon fiber faraday bag located in the center console OR in the digital lockbox.

    If your vehicle does not have a lockbox, this simply means that we will let you in remotely via the OnStar App after you e-sign the Agreement.

    If your vehicle does has a digital lockbox we will TEXT you a duration PIN that is active for the length of your reservation once you have e-sign the Agreement.

    OPENING LOCKBOX

    When opening the lockbox first hit the button in the middle to wake up the lock,

    Then punch in the PIN provided,

    Lastly, hit the lock icon in the center of the lock.

    Once you get into the car simply roll down the window and put the lockbox in the center console.

    STEP 5 (below): How-To Exit the Garage

  • Please be sure to be very careful entering and exiting the parking garage. We’ve found it’s very easy to dent the doors or scrape the wheels when pulling up to the security gate even when paying close attention. To open the security gate, simply hold the white KeyCard to the Security Gate Scanner.

    STEP 5 (below): How-To Exit the Garage

  • Please return the vehicle to:

    PreFlight Airport Parking located:

    44 N. 44th St Phoenix AZ 85034 across the street from Phoenix Skyharbor International Airport.

    When you get there you can move any of the orange cones in the same row: 1 West G to park the vehicle (these spots are reserved for PHX Rental Cars guests).

    The checkout procedure will look much like your check-in, only in reverse. You will either:

    1) Leave the KeyFob and KeyCard in the same carbon fiber bag that you originally found it at pick-up and place back in the center console. Once you have your things please TEXT the word “DROPOFF” to 407-716-4778 and we’ll lock-up the doors.

    2) You will leave the key and card inside the digital lockbox and rehang on the window using the duration PIN that was sent to you at pick-up via TEXT. Once you have your things please TEXT the word “DROPOFF” so we know your trip is complete.

    If you did not select the Prepaid Fuel Extra before your trip started please be sure to refuel the tank to the level that you received it in. If not, you will be charged $25 + the cost to refill the tank to the level in which you received it.

    To keep our costs down and continue to offer one of the very best values on the Phoenix market we ask that you please return the vehicle in the same showroom condition that you received it in.

    This vehicle can be taken to any of the 30 SuperStar CarWash locations in the Valley with no charge to you by simply going through the prepaid fast pass lane. Find the location closest to you with the link below:

    In order to provide you the best customer experience, with no surprises, We’ve included our late fee policy for your reference:

    30 minutes to 1 hour 59 minutes late: ½ the average daily trip price; $50* improper return fee at PHX Rental Cars discretion**

    2 hours or more late: Average daily trip price for 1 day + $20* late return fee; $50* improper return fee at PHX Rental Cars discretion**

    If you have a departing flight, shuttles run from PreFlight to your gate every 5 mins.
